Instrument Systems GmbH, founded in Munich in 1986, develops light metrology solutions for manufacturers of consumer electronics, AR/VR/MR displays, MicroLED displays and wafers, VCSELs and laser diodes, automotive lighting, and LED/SSL modules. Built around the high-accuracy CAS series spectroradiometers, the company's systems support research, development, and production environments, enabling accurate measurements from UV to IR with calibration traceable to PTB or NIST. Complementary 2D imaging cameras, integrating spheres, and goniometer systems enable comprehensive photometric and radiometric characterization.

Specialized solutions for automotive and traffic lighting under the Optronik Line are developed and manufactured at the company's Berlin facility. Since 2012, Instrument Systems has been part of the Konica Minolta Group.

The company actively contributes to DIN, CIE, and ICDM standardization activities and collaborates with leading metrology institutes. As a member of the MicroLED Industry Association (MIA), Instrument Systems supports the advancement of MicroLED display technology.
