Color science is more than a foundational discipline for understanding human perception — it is a driving force behind innovation in frontier industries such as display technology, computer vision, virtual reality, digital media, intelligent lighting, and interaction design.
To foster dialogue between academia and industry and accelerate the translation of cutting-edge research into key applications — including smart terminals, high-end displays, and advanced lighting — the International Frontier Industrial Forum on Color and Vision Science is being organized with the strategic support of CIE Division 1: Vision and Color and the China Illuminating Engineering Society (CIES).
The event brings together leading scholars from around the world to share the latest discoveries and theoretical breakthroughs in color vision mechanisms, computational color science, cross-media color reproduction, and visual interaction design.
Focusing on core industrial challenges, the conference features a series of specialized industrial forums addressing critical technical topics, including high-fidelity HDR display, AR/VR color management, color rendering evaluation in lighting, display color consistency, skin tone measurement and reproduction, and CMF (Color, Material, Finish) design. We have invited leading scholars, technical experts, and industry leaders from the fields of display, smart terminals, lighting, and industrial design. Together, we will engage in deep discussion and cross-disciplinary dialogue to explore future paths for technical innovation and industrial solutions.
The conference website and final program are still in development — stay tuned for updates.
