Prof. Bellia is Full Professor of Lighting and Building Physics at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Naples Federico II, Italy. She has authored more than 120 international publications on smart lighting systems, daylighting, and integrative lighting, and is widely recognised as a leading expert in the field.
She currently serves on the Governing Board of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) for the 2023–2027 term and is Secretary of CIE Division 6 Photochemistry and Photobiology. She is also President of the Italian Lighting Association (AIDI) for the 2025–2027 term and scientific manager of NC-CIE Italy. In addition, she is actively involved in several CIE technical committees and international standardisation working groups related to lighting and building energy performance.
