The International "Young Lighting Scientists" Contest is held annually as part of the International Specialized Exhibition for Lighting Engineering and Lighting Equipment Interlight | Smart City & Home and the All-Russian Scientific and Technical Conference "Lighting Engineering Innovations of Russia".
CIE NC Russia invites all young researchers to take part in the International Contest of scientific papers in the field of light and lighting.
On May 15, 2026, the new season of the International Contest "Young Lighting Scientists" will kick off. The call for papers will remain open until July 31, 2026, and the winners will be announced on October 30, 2026, in Moscow at the Interlight exhibition.

Key dates
- May 15–July 31, 2026 — papers submission
- August 2026 — peer review and paper revision
- September — resubmission of final papers after review
- September 2-10 — jury work and formation of the list for in-person participation in the final
- October 30, 2026 — contest final at the Interlight | Smart City & Home exhibition
- December — publication in CIE NC Journal
Who can participate?
Participants of the Contest can be students of Russian and foreign universities (bachelor's, specialist's, master's programs) of full-time (part-time) study, postgraduate students, young scientists and scientists engaged in scientific, technical and applied research, experimental design and project work in the field of light and lighting (no older than 35 years).
