On 28 March 2025, CIE will take part in the 5th Industry workshop of the IEA SHC Task 70 / EBC Annex 90, “Low Carbon, High Comfort Integrated Lighting.” Representing CIE will be Mr. Peter Thorns, CIE Vice President of Standards. Mr. Thorns will deliver a presentation titled “CIE – Turning research into best practice," covering topics on standardisation and networking.

About the Workshop

From 25 to 28 March 2025, the IEA SHC Task 70 will host the 5th Expert Meeting of the IEA SHC Task 70 / EBC Annex 90 and welcome numerous experts from the fields of daylighting, electric lighting, visual and non-visual lighting effects, and the role of lighting in sustainable buildings at the Unit of Energy Efficient Buildings at the University of Innsbruck.

On 28 March 2025, the 5th Industry workshop of the IEA SHC Task 70 / EBC Annex 90, “Low Carbon, High Comfort Integrated Lighting” will take place in this context. 

This workshop will focus on the topic of sustainable lighting:

  • Presentations by leading researchers and insights from experts in science and application;
  • Panel discussion with stakeholders from industry, planning and standardisation;
  • Opportunity to network with like-minded people who share a passion for good lighting solutions.
