The CIE is pleased to announce the CIE 2029 Midterm Meeting, to be held in Berlin, Germany, from 6–13 July 2029. The event will begin with CIE Statutory Bodies Meetings on 6–7 July, followed by the CIE General Assembly and Welcome Reception of the CIE Scientific Conference on 8 July. The CIE 2029 Scientific Conference will take place from 9–11 July, and will bring together experts from across the CIE community to exchange knowledge, discuss current developments, and advance international cooperation in the science and technology of light and lighting. The conference will be followed by CIE Division and Technical Committee meetings on 12–13 July.
For this meeting, we are pleased to have the German National Committee of the CIE (DNK-CIE e.V.) as our local host. DNK-CIE will host the meeting together with its member organisation, the German Society for Lighting Technology and Lighting Design (LiTG), as well as the German Colour Science Society (DfwG), the Standards Committees for Lighting Technology and Colour of the German Institute for Standardisation (DIN), and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB).
Together, we look forward to welcoming the international light and lighting community to Berlin, the capital of Germany and a major centre for science, technology, and innovation.
Germany has a long and successful tradition in lighting technology and has made significant contributions to the work of the CIE through its active participation in CIE Divisions, committees, and working groups. The CIE 2029 Midterm Meeting will build on this tradition by bringing together researchers, industry experts, and standards developers from around the world to foster scientific exchange and strengthen international cooperation.
