In 2025, the global metrology community is coming together to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Metre Convention, which established the BIPM, one of the world’s oldest international organizations.
The CIE is pleased to announce its participation in the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the BIPM. On 20 May, 2025, a special event will be held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris to commemorate this milestone. This will be followed by a two-day conference on 21-22 May 2025 at the Palais des Congrès in Versailles.
Tony Bergen, CIE Vice President Technical, will attend in person and represent the CIE.
CIE will present two posters during the conference poster session on 21 May at the Palais des Congrès, Versailles.
- "Photometry to Support the UN Sustainable Development Goals" (Bergen, A.S.J., Veitch, J.A.), under the theme Industry and Advanced Manufacturing
- "Measurement of Light for Human Health" (Bergen, A.S.J., Veitch, J.A.) under the theme Health and Life Sciences
We look forward to joining the global metrology community in celebrating this milestone and contributing to the ongoing discussions on the importance of accurate measurement.
